Megaphone for Fraud

Left-wing apostate Christopher Hitchens ripped Joe Scarborough on his show last night calling him a "megaphone for fraud" about his coverage of the Terri Schiavo episode. Crooks & Liars has the video clip here in quicktime format. Although Hitchens is still a looney hawk when it comes to Iraq and U.S. foreign policy, he's partially redeemed himself in my book for criticizing the horrid media coverage of the Schiavo episode. If we give him some more time maybe he'll come around eventually.

Nice work, prop.

I assume it was you that left this comment on my site.

"I want to thank you for being at the forefront of this latest outpost in the Culture Wars. I also thank the Lord for President Bush, Brother Jeb, and Tom DeLay for their boldness to supersede constitutional restraints to save Ms. Schiavo. The armies of Christ will not back down under the leadership of Majority Leader DeLay. The time for Christian rule is near."

First, you are welcome. As to your prejudices against Christianity and fear of Christians, I have to say that I don't share them with you. As well you seem to try to say that I am some sort of supporter of Christian rule in America which is interesting. I am not Christian, nor do I have any intention of converting Christianity. But, your prejudices may have blinded you to that fact so I thought I would drop by and point that out. Thanks for dropping by my site. I hope you are able to get over your fears.

Not knowing who either of those chaps are, I can only comment on what I saw in the clip, I have to concur with Hitchens. The woman is dead, her body simply does not know it yet. I'm no doctor, that's why I listen to the people who are.

LIFTED FROM HARPERS MAGAZINE VIA KOS (duh)
Anybody who really wanted to set the proverbial cat among the Tribulation Force’s symbolic canaries would have directed the faithful to Matthew 24:36, in which Christ warned his disciples on the Mount of Olives not to distract themselves searching for signs of the Second Coming because “no one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Indeed, the entirety of Matthew 24‒5, dubbed the “Olivet Discourse” and deemed by LaHaye “the prophetic clothesline on which every other Bible prophecy ought to be hung,” appears to warn against precisely the sort of spiritual hucksterism practiced by End Times entrepreneurs. Jesus repeatedly cautioned against false prophets and narrated four parables, among them the tale of the foolish virgins who missed a wedding banquet after allowing their oil lamps to burn out before the bridegroom returned to summon them. “Therefore keep watch,” Christ warned, “because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” Lest the message be misunderstood, it’s also repeated in Acts 1:7. Asked by his disciples when he would restore the kingdom to Israel, Jesus responded: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.”
Now I am not ZAKLY the best christian, but THIS makes sense to me, maybe because I went to good public schools...

Hey Agitprop, I got your back on the "cunt" debate on Crooks & Liars. I added a comment for Samuel.
