Wolfowitz and the World Bank

Former Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz officially became the new president of the World Bank on June 1 replacing James Wolfensohn. Apparently all World Bank presidents are required to have "wolf" in their name due to the predatory wolf-like nature of the bank. Paul Wolfowitz is the man who said that Iraqi oil revenues alone would pay for the Iraq War and that Iraq could easily finance its own reconstruction. We all know how accurate that prediction was. So if Wolfie is so numerically challenged why is he now leading the World Bank?

Maybe this a neocon coup so that Bu$hCo can exert more influence over the global capitalist system. Look, I'm not too big on conspiracy theories but I think putting Wolfie in this slot was in their playbook all along. Wolfowitz has however pledged to help the African continent out of extreme poverty and despair. Africa will most likely be a focus at the upcoming G8 summit next month in Scotland.

I really want a job with the Bush administration. The more I screw up, the more likely I'll be to get a big promotion.

Dumb, overused, repetitive question, but here it goes: Where are the media? Where?
