Dear Leader Makes First Round of Dunning Calls Personally
HelenWheels has the story. It's pretty pathetic even for the New American Empire. Basically, the government screws up a soldier's pay, overpays them, then comes after them for what it claims is owed. Soldiers on the front lines have even been dunned.

Oh, and that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the unforgivably horrid treatment of U.S. vets. There are so many stories I don't know when I'll have time to report on them all. But I intend to do much more, so y'all check back, y'hear? THanks so much for referring everyone, Blogenfriend!

NPR had a story about this on Friday. My husband and I were shaking our heads in disgust at the treatment of our soldiers and their families.

I heard that NPR story ... what does this say to people who might otherwise serve? Not only do you run a pretty good risk of getting blown up or otherwise maimed, if that happens and you survive, your injuries won't be the only reason your life will be a living hell.
