So if you bomb al-Jazeera does this mean you believe in free speech? For someone who hid in the Texas Air National Guard for the entire war in Vietnam, he sure is an aggressive fellow.

I'm glad she didn't nuke Buenos Aires or else I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the place last year. Great city actually.

Write her and thank her ... cc the pres of Argentina.

I feel like I've stumbled through the looking glass into some sort of farcical parallel universe.

...some sort of farcical parallel universe.
Sort of like a conservative slap to the face, non?

Honey - where did you find that golf ball? I absolutely love it! Whacking the Iron Maiden - you know - she'd probably find it funny. That old broad always did seem to have more of a sense of humor than her contemporaries.

First of all the supposed leaked document saying that Bush wanted to attack al-jazeera has not been confirmed and it is completely possible that it is fake or what it says is completely misconstrued. Haven't you liberals learned not to snatch up such stories before they are confirmed? Look at what happened to Dan Rather and newsweek. Are you completely unable to learn from the mistakes of your peers?

Is there also anything wrong with our commander-in-chief taking into view all his options when dealing with an obvious terrorism sympathizer such as al-jazeera? Al-jazeera is accussed of funnelling money to terrorists organizations and it is obvious they have connections to AQ simply because they receive the first copies of AQ's murder videos. Al-jazeera puts our troops in harms way by reporting false incidents and overblowing other ones inciting violence against americans. Anyone who thinks al-jazeera is just using their right to free speech is blind and ignorant.

Our favorite troll Torm (a/k/a Albert) has a blog ... don't give him too much traffic, but drop by to leave appropriate comments. He's got one post up: it's called "Fuck Hippies" - and what a post it is! (all 2 words of it.) Fucking Torm! Contributing to intelligent debate since, oh, about 20 minutes ago!

So if you bomb al-Jazeera does this mean you believe in free speech?

Certainly! Just as long as it's approved free speech. Very similar to believing in freedom and democracy for Iraq, just as long as they don't choose to have a theocracy.

Al-jazeera puts our troops in harms way by reporting false incidents and overblowing other ones inciting violence against americans. Anyone who thinks al-jazeera is just using their right to free speech is blind and ignorant.

So...let me get this straight. In your opinion, bombs are a reasonable way to deal with anyone that puts our troops in harms way, even if that threat is only speech? So, you'd be just fine with bombing anti-war protestors anywhere in the US, right? I mean after all the consistent theme from the right is that protestors are giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Or are you just a troll who only deals in hyperbole?

Why else would you bomb them unless you did not like what they say. I don't like how they report, but they have the right to their opinions, just like we do. I believe that not supporting free speech is ignorant.

Bomb Al-Jazeera! Well, the thought came out of the mouth of a guy who has no concept of consequences. And what did Al-Jazeera do to him ... except disagree?

blogenfreude,

love your post! and love the golf ball; oh, how I wish I played golf!

I've blogrolled you (i think); check it out!(to confirm..:)

Disgusting and yet confusing at the same time. Al-Jazeera is really not that far out there. Wouldn't it be easier, and more effective, to lure them into bed: the Judy Millerization of Al-Jazeera.

I love this:

Mr Mitterrand - who once described Mrs Thatcher as "the eyes of Caligula and the mouth of Marilyn Monroe" - went on: "One cannot win against the insular syndrome of an unbridled Englishwoman. Provoke a nuclear war for a few islands inhabited by three sheep as hairy as they are freezing! But it's a good job I gave way. Otherwise, I assure you, the Lady's metallic finger would have hit the button."

France, he insisted, would have the last word. "I'll build a tunnel under the Channel. I'll succeed where Napoleon III failed. And do you know why she'll accept my tunnel? I'll flatter her shopkeeper's spirit. I'll tell her it won't cost the Crown a penny."

Looks like Mitterand got his wish.

And do you know why she'll accept my tunnel? I'll flatter her shopkeeper's spirit. I'll tell her it won't cost the Crown a penny.
Only the French can make such imagery with mere words. Thatcher as a Pecksniffian shopkeeper intent on keeping the ruffians from running off with trifles.
