It's blog against racism day. Here in the Big Apple, in honor of Rosa Parks, the buses will have their lights on all day and the seat directly behind the driver will remain empty. Yes, even New Yorkers are expected to comply.
Just when our hate for the MTA reaches its peak, they do something like this or the holiday fares.

On the day of Rosa Park's funeral, all the buses in Montgomery County left signs on the seat behind the driver reserving them for Ms. Parks. The bus I was on was super-duper crowded, but no one sat in that seat.
