Scooter's A Think Tank Scholar!
Scooter has managed to land a job. He's going to be a "scholar" at right-wing think tank The Hudson Institute. Hudson is known for housing such bright lights as Robert Bork and Meyrav Wurmser (neocon wife of neocon David Wurmser).
Wonder how much Scooter is pulling down? And speaking of soft landings ... Herr Bennett's got a new gig at CNN.

Look how dignified he is, sitting there! But he needs one o' them halos over his head to really round out the picture. Or an American flag at his side. Yeah, that's it.

Damn. I was hoping that he would write a sequel to his novel about bears raping young girls. I guess he'll just be doing political writing from now on...

Like Brownie, they all land feet first, don't they?

Surprise, surprise.

I think it's nice he's gone to the final resting place of disgraced, albeit over-privileged, neocons. He'll be in good company.
Remember, this guy is a hero to neocons and his star is rising. With this bunch, crime pays.

They're calling it "Wingnut Welfare" over at Firedoglake.

"Wingnut Welfare"-thats good.
What about elephants raping bears? Too cliche'???? Been done too many times?
I can see the ads on CBN now... after Pat's diet pamphlet "No Lovehandles For The Lord".

Blogenfreude - we just posted a new episode of FBS (Kristol) - would like you to offer your thoughts on, it -while it's still a rough draft of sorts.

Do ya' think that The Hudson Institute's generous "work from home" policy will cover the federal penitentiary?

Blogenfreude - Thanks for your critque. Having Bush partipate in the Sunday news was done as a challange to the reader, the liberal base. It's part of the performance, to get the reaction from the skeptical reader, but it is based on testimonials that indicate his pose of not reading the papers is a tactical ruse, playing into notions of aggressive ignorance on his part that confort and gull the opposition, while playing into the joy of ignorance that much of his base revels in.
Granted, it's a debatable point - one that should consume a panel blog discussion, but if you read what the editors said, who were summoned to him to stop printing the wiretap stuff, they make pretty clear that he follows what they say closely, so long as it involves him or his concerns. But your concern is noted and remains under consideration.

Do you think he had to have a 3-way with Linda Tripp and Jeff Gannon-Guckert to get the job?

Blogenfreude, I'll bet that victor Davis Hanson is really excited. Scooter can finish schooling him in the finer points of what it truly means to be a sycophant neocon.
Who says that inappropriate racist comments don't pay off! I think that CNN obviously got the better deal compared to FOX landing Novak. Not only did CNN get a conservative to replace Novak, they got a bigoted one to boot! (On religion I think they pushed.)
And to think, I only posted about George and Anna and about the Flight of Chicken Hawks.

CNN should base Bill Bennet in Las Vegas and give him a HUGE expense account. ; )

"wingnut Welfare" describes it perfectly. There are so many of these so-called think tanks and lobbying/strategy firms that just collect money from wingnuts to give to other wingnuts.

"Wingnut Welfare" -- that's good. That, plus their tax cuts, should keep them from seeing a need to raise the minimum wage.
As noted above, these shit-for-brains retreads have retired as "scholars" after screwing all of us. I like to think of them as "Tank Skanks."

Interesting..
I've been looking for a new gig... perhaps I should add "felon" into my job skills.
Sexy up that resume a bit.

In doing my part to keep the economy, unlike the Universe, expanding, I am starting up and employment agency dedicated to matching Republican officials displaced by political scandal with compassionate employers. Of course, this will require some travel on their part, as they will all be assigned to man a call center in India.
