DE VALLS BLUFF, Ark. - A federal appeals court has sided with a former teacher who complained about prayers at a graduation ceremony in an eastern Arkansas school district.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday ruled in favor of Steve Warnock in his dispute with the De Valls School District, but didn't grant Warnock's request that the penalties against the district be stiffened.
About time.

Is there no depth that the legislating-from-the-benchers won't sink to? Ruling against Jesus?!? I will pray for the plaintiff's soul...but not in a public school, obviously.

Hey. I live in Arkansas, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see this development. Now if the same judge would rule to allow teachers to mention evolution.
