It takes so much time to fix their mistakes:
George W. Bush: "The recent arrests that our fellow citizens are now learning about are a stark reminder that this nation is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation."
Must be a dictionary around here somewhere ...
Main Entry: fas·cism
Pronunciation: 'fa-"shi-z&m also 'fa-"si-
Function: noun
Etymology: Italian fascismo, from fascio bundle, fasces, group, from Latin fascis bundle & fasces fasces
1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control <early instances of army fascism and brutality -- J. W. Aldridge>
So let's see ... the Muslims who hate us are not seeking to gain power over any nation nor do they govern a nation. Their jihad is a religious movement, not a secular one (like, you know, the Nazis). So what does this mean Dear Leader? It's. Not. Fascism.
Talking about the pot calling the kettle black, these guys are hoping to misdirect people by saying "look! We don't like fascists either!"

I'm surprised W can even pronounce "fascist". Guess it's too much to expect him to know what it means.

But then on the other hand, the definition looks like it fits Shrub pretty well.
Do you want to tell him, or should I?

Comparing Republicans to Nazis again, are we?
How very Hillary-esque!
I mean, if we were fascists, we'd start rounding up folks who look different than our idealized selfs and who believed in a faith other than the dominant one! We'd send them off to an isolated camp, where they'd be tortured, and....
...um, nevermind.

I'm writing a bit on this tomorrow. Republicans have such a problem with projection.

Two things.
OF course the bushes know fascists. Grandpappy Prescott was in bed with the Nazis as WWII was in full fucking killing kids mode, and this piece of scum-shit was trading with the enemy. So, shit falls where shit is made.
Second: How fucking prophetic is this?
You all know this is coming down the pike pretty soon right:
We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!
I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
There's nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the party on the left
Is now the party on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
Yeah Corporations run everything. KILL THE CORPORATIONS!

I figure Bush just learned the word while catching up on some reading during the Crawford vacation and thought it'd be cool to use it.

It's a Rovian coordinated propaganda campaign trying to smear all Muslims with a big brush. They have to demonize them before our homegrown fascists slaughter them en masse.

If they call someone ELSE a fascist, then they themselves aren't fascists. Sounds logical to me!

There's something missing from that definition. As in Italy or Spain or the entire 70's/80's South America for that matter, Fascism usually goes along with STRONG corporate complicity, wich is another argument proving the monkeys in Washington don't have any fucking clue about the real meaning of words.
