Lewis Black used to do a great stand-up bit about being in a small Texas town and coming out of a Starbuck's, coffee in hand, only to realize that there was another Starbuck's directly across the street. Black described the disorientation and panic he experienced. Had he crossed into another dimension? Fallen down a worm hole?

No. Starbuck's had just over-expanded.

I must admit I was never one to "speak Starbucks". Waiting on line to pay $5.00 for a cup of coffee to me is a bit insane. Wth the economy the way it is, I am not surprised to see Starbucks cutting down on its stores. I guess it comes down to 1 gallon of gas of a cup of coffee.

The working folks Starbucks is Dun'kin Donuts, for the upwardly mobile its Crispy Creme. Did ya see Ms Hills fumble with the coffee machine in the gas station?
