Actually, there are many more important issues besides a love-grandchild as to why Sarah Palin is a bad pick for McSame, not to mention the nation. Selecting such an obviously inadequate imperial manager means we're so much closer to collapse than we thought we were.
Are you trying to tell me that the mayor of the SEVENTH LARGEST VILLAGE in Alaska doesn't have the experience necessary to run the free world?
Next, you'll be telling me that Harriet Myers wasn't the top legal mind in the United States.

Actually, we have already collapsed. Empires always do. But as with working out the details of a bankruptcy, there are ways to minimize some of the damage and soften the shock of imperial death. (The British may have some handy hints.) At this point, however, I just don't see anyone in power getting ready for what's going to hit us. At this rate, it's going to be the Katrina of national collapses.

mandt,
The repubs mantra is "Love the fetus; hate the child." This is evidenced by Palin's cuts to programs benefiting needy children in her state.
Rather ironic that the hardcore republicans don't see fit to subsidize the children of unwed mothers and the economically disadvantage more fully, seeing as these children are the ones who will be enlisting for the next war. Right?

You know, they opened this door with their merciless persecution of Bill and Hillary Clinton, and their insistence that if the Clintons had THEIR "family values," things like underage drinking and teen pregnancy would be a thing of the past.
Well now that that door has been opened, I'm walking through it. If you want to blame somebody, blame the people who made this an issue.
