Everyone's favorite rapture-ready eliminationist Randall Terry is back!
Can you imagine somebody saying, 'Let's have one of the leaders of Germany come in -- we don't really like what he did with that Jewish thing, but they build great roads, and they gave people hope, and they helped rebuild the economy.' It's crazy.
The specter of President Obama speaking at a Catholic university was enough to summon Randall out from his cave and back into the public eye to compare Obama to Adolf Hitler.
Terry - a veteran holy warrior - was arrested earlier this month for trespassing on the Notre Dame campus. That didn't stop him from returning to the campus yesterday to protest President Obama's commencement address:
Our mission is to so tar President Obama with the blood of the innocent that he can never escape his role in the history of the killing of the innocents...we want people to think Barack Obama equals dead babies so that in 2012 he cannot seduce Catholics and moderates who supported him in the last election.
I first took notice of Terry when he was leading the "pro-life" protests outside Terri Schiavo's hospital in early 2005. Recall the mood back then. President Bush had just been coronated for a second term, the "values voters" that supposedly won him re-election were flexing their political capital and a brain-dead woman on a feeding tube was the national emergency.
Terry chose to motivate his loving flock with words of hatred and anger:
I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good . . . Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a biblical duty, we are called by God to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism. Our goal must be simple. We must have a Christian nation built on God's law, on the ten Commandments. No apologies.
After his Christo-Fascist Revolution, Grand Inquisitor Randall Terry will organize the Christian re-education camps and revolutionary justice tribunals. Here's what he thinks of medical doctors who perform abortions:
When
I, or people like me, are running the country, you'd better flee,
because we will find you, we will try you, and we'll execute you. I
mean every word of it. I will make it part of my mission to see to it
that they are tried and executed . . . There is going to be war, [and
Christians may be called to] take up the sword to overthrow the
tyrannical regime that oppresses them.
Ok, you've probably read enough crazy quotes from Christian holy warriors in the previous post so I won't subject you to anymore.
Just a thought...every time the abortion issue rears its head, men seem to form the loudest, most virulent anti-choice voices. It wouldn't have anything to do with men wanting to control women's bodies through fear, oppression and legislation now would it? Would it?
