Sexual Cleansing Brought To You By Bu$hCo

Isn't this special?  Shiite death squads are killing gays as part of a so-called "sexual cleansing" - and the U.S. isn't doing a damn thing about it!

Pat Robertson says Iran's got nukes!  You remember Pat - he's the preacher who's always issuing fatwas against people he doesn't like - like democratically-elected leaders. 

Well, this just means we have to nuke Iran right quick ... somebody call Dick Cheney.

Freedonia's Going To (Another) War!

Ever have one of those days when you think: "Nope.  It can't get any sillier ..."?  Well, on a day that featured proof that the White House knew there were no WMD labs when its minions claimed there were (is Scotty still waiting for that apology?), on a day that had a right wing blogger agreeing that Tom DeLay should take over at OMB, on a day when the sheer stupidity of the State Department's claim that Iran could have a bomb in 16 days sunk in, this is almost not surprising:

According to all three intelligence sources, military and intelligence officials alike were alarmed that instead of securing a known terrorist organization ["MEK"], which has been responsible for acts of terror against Iranian targets and individuals all over the world – including US civilian and military casualties – Rumsfeld under instructions from Cheney, began using the group on special ops missions into Iran to pave the way for a potential Iran strike.

“They are doing whatever they want, no oversight at all,” one intelligence source said.
[…] “We are already at war,” the UN official told RAW STORY.

And what's the most special about this?

“The US army secured a key MEK facility 60 miles northwest of Baghdad shortly after the 2003 invasion, but they did not secure the MEK and let them basically be because [then Deputy Defense Secretary Paul] Wolfowitz was thinking ahead to Iran.”

Darth Cheney and World Banker Wolfowitz.  What's fucking next?  Oh, and don't forget that James Fallows gave odds on Iran some months back - looks like he was right.

[via Raw Story] A few days ago, we blogged about U.N. ambassador and recess-appointee John Bolton's saber-rattling at Iran. The Atlantic magazine, which has a pretty good predictive track record, pegs the chances of an overt air strike against Iran by Israel or the U.S. at 2:1 by March 31, 2007. Move the goal posts up to the end of 2006, and the odds go to 3:1.
